Cooking in Central Lawn Maintenance Bids on Property
Cooking in Central will be taking bids for lawn maintenance on their property, Amazing Place, located at 10305 Blackwater Rd.(Approximately 13 acres + or -).
Scope of Services:
• Finish mower cut property every other week during growing season
• Weed eat around pavilion, office and 24 culvert ends once per month (during growing season).
Additional Requirements for successful bidder:
• Must have valid city and state occupational license
• Must supply an available equipment list with proposal
• Must be licensed and insured as per contract requirements
• As additional cuts may be required from time to time, pricing should be on a per cut basis.
Proposals should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, US postal service or hand delivered to 7334 Conestoga Dr. no later than 1:30 p.m. Thursday September 2, 2021. The bids will be opened that day p.m. at the Central Chamber of Commerce office, 12416 Hooper Road. Cooking in Central reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
This will be a 3 year contract which will start in February of 2022.

This Contract made this day between Cooking in Central, LLC. (Property Lessor) and K & D Lawn Service (Contractor) on __May 5, 2016 and expires on May 4, 2019.
WHEREAS, Lessor and Contractor desire to enter into this Agreement for Lawn Maintenance on 15 Acres +or- located at 10305 Blackwater Rd. more specifically lots 3-B-1 and 3-C-1 of the Walter A. Carmena property located in sections T8 and T9, T-6-3, R-I-E, GLD East Baton Rouge Parish, LA.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby expressly acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
The Contract Documents are defined as this instrument.
Contractor shall furnish all labor, fuel, equipment, tools, and machinery required for lawn maintenance on the aforementioned property. More specifically grass will be mowed every 2 weeks and once a month Contractor will weed eat around pavilion, office and 24 culvert ends.
This price includes all sales and other taxes. A Certificate of Insurance will be required. APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT shall be submitted via email to email@example.com and copied to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before the first of each month. Contractor shall comply with all safety rules, regulations and laws, including requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Contractor shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend Cooking in Central LLC its agents and employees or any of them from and against all injuries, claims, damages, losses and expenses, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, arising directly or indirectly out of the obligations herein undertaken or resulting out of operations conducted by the Contractor, the Contractor’s sub-contractors, anyone directly or indirectly employed by them or anyone for whose acts they may be liable, regardless of whether or not such injury, claim, damage, loss or expense is caused in part by a party indemnified hereunder, save and except claims or litigation caused by or resulting from the sole negligence of the party indemnified hereunder. Such obligation shall not negate, abridge or otherwise reduce other rights or obligations of indemnity, which would otherwise exist as to a party or person described in this paragraph.
THE CONTRACT SUM
Lessor shall pay contractor $ for mowing and $ for mowing and weed eating. (Contract Sums). The terms are as follows: Contractor will be paid monthly by the 10th of the month for timely received pay requests.
Both parties have read and understand this Contract. This Contract constitutes the entire Contract Agreement, and supersedes all prior proposals and agreements. The Contractor assumes no responsibility or representation made by any of its officers or agents or any other persons during or prior to the execution of this Contract unless such understanding or representations are expressly stated herein. No provision of this Contract may be waived or changed except in writing by an executive officer of the Contractor.
The Subcontractor shall purchase and maintain insurance of the following types of coverage and limits of liability:
Commercial General Liability (CGL) with limits of Insurance of not less that $1,000,000 each occurrence and $2,000,000 Annual Aggregate.
If the CGL coverage contains a General Aggregate Limit, such General Aggregate shall apply separately to each project.
CGL coverage shall be written on ISO Occurrence form CG 00 01 1093 or a substitute form providing equivalent coverage and shall cover liability arising from premises, operations, and personal advertising injury.
Subcontractor shall maintain CGL coverage for itself for the duration of the project and maintain Completed Operations coverage for itself for at least 3 years after completion of the Work.
Umbrella limits must be at least $1,000,000.
Workers Compensation and Employers Liability
Employers Liability Insurance limits of at least $500,000 each accident for bodily injury by accident and $500,000 each employee for injury by disease.
Lessor may terminate this contract with cause or for convenience by giving 30 day written notification to Contractor.
Waiver of Subrogation
Contractor waives all rights against Cooking in Central LLC, Inc. and its agents, officers, directors and employees for recovery of damages to the extent these damages are covered by commercial general liability, commercial umbrella liability, business auto liability or workers compensation and employers liability insurance maintained per requirements stated above.
This Agreement entered into as of the day and year first written above.
